La bodega está ubicada en la localidad de Vilaza (Monterrei), esta parroquia fue una importante villa romana, conocida con el nombre de Vilatia, cuyo poder se prolongó en el tiempo, llegando a tener en los siglos XI y XII un monasterio de los templarios, cuyos restos están repartidos en la actualidad por seis viviendas (varias de ellas ya reformadas) y la capilla de Santa Cruz.
